Cast iron platform, as an indispensable basic equipment in the field of industrial manufacturing, quality testing and precision assembly, has long been widely recognized as an ideal reference plane for high-precision work and measurement due to its excellent stability, excellent wear resistance and outstanding vibration damping performance.

Excellent material (gray cast iron HT200/HT250/HT300, etc.):

High abrasion resistance: The graphite structure in gray cast iron can play a lubricating role in the abrasion process, so that the surface is not easy to be scratched, and it is durable and maintains the accuracy for a long time.

Excellent vibration damping: graphite flakes inside the cast iron can effectively absorb and attenuate mechanical vibration energy, providing a stable environment for precision measurement, instrument placement and processing, reducing vibration interference and improving measurement and processing accuracy.

Good dimensional stability: after sufficient artificial aging treatment (natural aging or thermal aging), the residual stress inside the cast iron platform is extremely small, and it can maintain the stability of geometry and size for a long time, and it is not easy to be deformed.

Easy to process and scrape: cast iron has good cutting performance, easy to carry out high-precision machining. Its surface can be more through the traditional manual scraping process to achieve a very high degree of flatness, straightness and contact spot requirements, which is difficult to compare with the advantages of other materials.

Cost-effective: Compared with granite and other high-precision platforms, cast iron platforms usually have a better cost advantage in achieving similar accuracy levels.

Precision manufacturing process:

Strict aging treatment: After casting, the platform must undergo a long period of time (months or even years) of natural aging or artificial thermal aging treatment, to fully eliminate internal stress, which is the key to ensure the long-term stability of the platform.

High-precision machining: Use large-scale gantry milling machine, gantry planer or guideway grinder to carry out finishing to ensure the flatness, parallelism and other key geometric accuracy of the platform's working surface.

Surface Finishing: According to the requirement of precision, the working surface can be selected:

Precision Milling/Fine Grinding: To achieve high flatness requirement.

Scraping: the highest precision surface treatment process, through manual scraping to form a uniform distribution of contact points, to obtain excellent flatness, straightness, contact rigidity and oil storage, especially suitable for the need for sliding fit or high-precision reference occasions.

Structural design:

Reinforcing bar design: The bottom of the platform is usually designed with scientifically distributed reinforcing bars (box structure, tic-tac-toe, etc.), which can effectively reduce the self-weight of the platform while guaranteeing sufficient rigidity and load-bearing capacity.

Form of working surface: it can be smooth surface (flat plate) or with T-slot, which is used for installing and fixing workpiece, fixture, measuring instrument, etc., providing great flexibility.

Support: Usually designed with standard support points (e.g., three main support points and several auxiliary support points at the bottom) to ensure that the platform is in the best state of stress and avoid deformation after correct installation.
